This panel may show a sampled measurement (e.g., power) and/or a cumulative measurement (e.g., energy generated).
When the sampled measurement is available, a gauge and trend chart will appear.
When the cumulative measurement is available, its value will be shown over the date range indicated.

Global Horizontal Irradiance (W/m²)

Global horizontal irradiance represents all of the solar irradiance that reaches a horizontal plane. Mathematically, it is the combination diffuse horizontal irradiance and the downward component of direct normal irradiance. When the sun is low in the sky, little direct sunlight reaches a horizontal surface, and global horizontal irradiance reflects that phenomenon. Professional weather stations often include a measure of global horizontal irradiance.
Global horizontal irradiance can be measured using a pyranometer sensor mounted to a stationary horizontal base. The sensor should be unshaded and have an unobstructed view of the entire sky.
Chart (or charts) shows trends for a specific component. Each data point represents an aggregated value for the time interval indicated (e.g., 15-minute average).
